Historic Garden, Munstead Wood

The former home of Gertrude Jekyll – one of the world’s greatest horticulturalists – the design has the ethos, ideals and aesthetic of the Arts & Crafts movement at its heart.  It imagines how Jekyll, a pioneering polymath of her time, would approach the redesign in the context of today’s environmental crisis.  The result – a layered garden, weaved together through meandering paths, materials, colour schemes and naturalistic planting, creating a tapestry effect, paying homage to and elevating artisanal skills.
