Pandora Ryan

RHS Award-winning Garden Designer.

From a childhood rooted in the rugged landscape of the Yorkshire Pennines, with the freedom to roam and explore, Pandora developed a deep connection to the natural world and sense of place.  This, combined with a life-long passion for plants, growing and gardening, underpins Pandora’s approach to design – creating beautiful, sustainable, plant-filled spaces that benefit the environment and exceed clients’ expectations.

Pandora now runs a successful garden design studio, based in West Yorkshire, working on projects in the region and nationally.  She is a qualified Garden and Landscape Designer, having studied Garden Design at London’s prestigious KLC School of Design and graduating with distinction.   Pandora has created award-winning show gardens including the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, the Moscow Flower Show, the Moscow Flower Jam and the Belvoir Castle Flower Show.  In 2022, Pandora created a stand at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and designed the show planters for RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.

Before her career in Garden Design, Pandora studied Fine Art, Sculpture and pursued a career in London’s art world, working for institutions including Tate, the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) and the Royal Academy of the Arts (RA).  Her background and training in art underpins her designs and informs an experimental and painterly approach to planting design.

Alongside designing gardens, Pandora is a Principal Tutor at the Yorkshire School of Garden Design and previously part of the tutor team at KLC School of Design, London.
